This represents a UNQIUE opportunity to own one of the fastest cruising yachts on the North Wales coast. She has been stored out of commission since 2005 while we have been campaigning our new boat, but has spent the last year afloat acting as a 'mother-ship' for our larger racing yacht. Her high aspect tapered Selden Mast, oversized dyform rigging and keel make her one of the smallest go anywhere yachts ever built. The rig is rigged with Sta-Lok mechanical fittings making standing rigging replacement and repair easy wherever in the world you are. The highest quality Harken sail controls. She was weighed on a Royal Ocean Racing Club load cell and her official measured displacement is 4443kgs which is a testament to her solid glass construction. Trajan is always well placed in local races and we have a full trophy cabinet from our long and happy ownership. Why settle for a sailing yacht which doesn’t sail fast? Trajan may have a high rig but benefits from the highest quality sails and the finest deck hardware which makes sailing her an absolute breeze. Name another yacht of this style and age which can sail at over 6 knots in as little as 10 knots of breeze and outpoint even the newest of designs thanks to her keel. Placed in the top three overall in the round Anglesey races, and a heap of trophies from her history at Liverpool. In the last season she has won and been well placed in a number of race series at Liverpool. Her Yanmar 2GM20 starts with no hesitation, and ploughs Trajan through the water at just under 7 knots. The top quality sound proofing and sail drive mean that you can’t barely hear the engine when running in the forward cabin or when stood forward of the mast on deck. As we have owned Trajan from new engine service history is exemplar. The engine has been serviced twice yearly (first week of October, and the first week of June). Only genuine Yanmar Parts and Oils used throughout. Her solid teak rubbing steak, panelled washboards and decorative teak is kept bare thus only needing a slight scrub and teak cleaner to maintain a lustre golden finish. The Hull is her original gel coat. It was spec’ed from new to be a speciality non-pigment product which has maintained its high gloss finish. The hull below the water line has been epoxied since new and the lack of pigments in the GRP resign and gel coat mean the boat is basically immune to osmosis The level of detail and no expense spared culture goes from the highest quality Teflon based antifouling to a special Selden Teflon coated extrusion inserted into the mast track to make raising and dropping the main a slick operation. All things normally reserved for grand prix style yachts. The highest quality branded hardware is used throughout fit out with all main cabin lights being red and white for multi use, chromed WHALE elegance taps and the highest marine quality stainless steel buffed in most places to a mirror finish. She is ready for a test sail at any time and happy to take all serious purchasers out for a race or just a play around the marina.Happy to help sail her with out crew to the new owners choice of marina or help negotiate a berth in Liverpool at a discounted rate.
